What took it so long?

I left the corporate world last year on the last day of January. In less than a week, a Web Marketing Company offered me a job. I accepted that job where my duties include writing Search Engine Optimized articles and PR's for the company. I lasted 5 months there and decided to try my luck abroad. And I'm lucky... After 3 interviews, I'm hired as a Copy writer for an Online Radio Station in Georgia. I could've worked there however, the company didn't start before my Visa expired and up to this date they are not yet operating. Somehow, I still wish that they will hire me when it starts.

So, I went back to the Philippines ready to take a quick break and go back to the corporate world. I originally planned to start working after my school sem is over. BTW, I was home December 28 and as early as January 4... I'm scheduled for an interview. Isn't that fast?

When my copy writing job in Georgia didn't push through, I asked why God didn't give me the thing that I wanted the most? It's always been my dream to work in the US. I always wanted to bring my family there like how my mother desired to retire on that country. Also, the money I would earn there in a month is too impossible to earn here in a year. God knows how much I dreamt of this all my life and I know I did everything to reach this... I applied, got accepted but why didn't it prosper? Why? I questioned God a lot of times. I continued to ask myself on what part have I failed and on what part have I not given my best.

My questions were answered now. Maybe, God knows what I wanted the most and that is to be with my family. There are times when I imagine myself in Georgia with all the things that I wanted but I'm alone... with no family to be with. It gives me sad moments that never happened... thank God.

Right now, I'm an online contributor for Yahoo! Voices and Foreverdope. Also, SM offered me a PR Coordinator position that I accepted. Now, I don't ask God anymore on why I wasn't a copywriter in Georgia but I just thank Him for letting me be who I wanted to be, letting me be where I wanted to stay and letting me have the people I wanted to be with  in my life. =)

CD-R King Baliwag Staff Complaint

e-mailed to: support@cdrking.com

To whom it may concern:

Good Day!

First off, this is a complaint about a particular CD-R king employee.

Here's what happened:

Last February 15, 2011, we went to CD-R king SM Baliwag Branch to look for a Money Scanner, usb drum kit and Privacy Screen Filter. Usually CD-R king stores are packed but this particular day, the crowd is not as huge as it is normally. So what my father did was he lined up with only four people in-front of him and the other line also have around five people. There are around four staff that time serving the buyers. We waited for ANNE, the one serving our line. But what she did was she kept on entertaining other costumers before going to the next line. To fully explain this, here's what  ANNE was doing: she entertained the 1st person in our line. That person went to the corner of the store where he pointed the product he wanted to buy. ANNE followed him and went through the normal-paying, warranty, packing and receipt procedure.

THE THING IS: after  ANNE given a receipt to that person, a customer approached  ANNE , this customer is not the customer that's on the line. Without looking at the line,  ANNE entertained this person and went through the normal-paying, warranty, packing and receipt procedure. Without even THINKING that there are people on the line waiting for her. It was okay at first but  ANNE repeated it again and again as if she don't know that the store posted a "please fall in line here" sign. So the line piled up, my father asked me to line up for him as he checks the product he wanted to buy. Since  ANNE continued to entertain customers not in line, my father reminded  ANNE of the line, that she should serve people there first because they waited long enough. But instead of politely apologizing, she even had the guts to answer back saying: "Sir, hindi naman po nasusunod yang linyang yan." My father answered back saying, "Eh miss, SOP sa mga CD-R king na ang una mong seser-van ay yung nasa pila saka mayroon naman kayong fall in line sign dito dalawa pa nga." What we, people in the line, expected  ANNE to do was to apologize to the customer she entertained and asked that person to line up like we all did. But NO  ANNE did not do that, what  ANNE did was she continued to serve and entertain customers not in the line and ignored us. Of course, pissed for waiting long enough, we asked for the STORE MANAGER, but the store manage is on break as early as 10:45 in the morning. We don't know how breaks are scheduled in your store. Since the manager is on break another staff approached us and helped us test the Money Scanner. We ended up not buying anything because of that  ANNE .

Also, Since we weren't able to talk to the manager, I am writing this letter of complaint to you in the hopes that you would do something about this. I'm not asking you to terminate ANNE but if this happened many times, maybe she should be terminated already. This CD-R king branch is different from other branches but what happened here can reflect every branch. If you won't terminate her, make sure she gets a HUGE SCOLDING.

The New.....

Before everything... Happy New Year.

This isn't a New Years Resolution kind of post. But this is how the NEW me will be for the rest of 2012!

MY 2012 Motto: Stay Happy

Being happy and staying happy may find similarities in the word HAPPY but they are two different terms. One asks you to be and the other wants you to stay. I don't want to be happy... I don't need some guy to make me happy. I think I've had enough and ever more reason to be happy everyday with the comfort of my family and friends than having "someone" who will make me happy. I chose to stay happy the way it is now... less complications, less stress, less headache but lots and lots of LOVE!

THE NEW ME:

1. Wants to greet every birthday celebrator on Facebook.
1. still Wants to LEARN to play CHESS.
1. Wants to travel MORE.
1. Wants to REPLY... to your messages, texts, e-mails, and even your phone calls. Alam nyo naman I hate talking on the phone pero e-eeffortan ko.
1. Wants to attend events!
1. Wants to care.
1. Wants to be an impatient bride: SINGLE BUT HAPPY.
1. Wants to be closer to God.
1. Wants to be supremely neat and organize. Hello OC 2012!
1. Wants to COOK better TASTING and Better LOOKING FOOD.[I'll hold baking a bit... eto na ULAM-ULAM here I come! ^_^
1. Wants to FORGIVE.
1. Wants to GRADUATE. GB Grad school.
1. Wants to make other people HAPPY.

Yan muna.... the list goes on!

It's not how we start Publish Postor end a year... it's all the memoirs in between!
MAHAL KO KAYO!

What is CHEATING?

Define. Cite examples. Explain.

What REALLY is cheating?

Last night I attended a party with friends. Old friends that I kept and treasured eternally. They are the small group of friends I stayed in love all these years if we compare it to romantic relationships amongst lovers.

In that party, Maybe This Time the song seemed to be the theme of the night. Lovers reunited. Lovers of old times found their way to spark again. Some committed, some single, some taken, some waiting for a second chance, and some regret the lost chance.

Question is... if you met the person who once truly owned your heart... will it beat the same way? Will the half of it still fit? Will it knock on cupid's door for another arrow? Or will it just beat rapidly like the old times but keep it within? Will it shout love in silence? Will it just  learn to let go? Will it move on?

When you saw the person who was once your eternity and you met him/her again WHILE you are in a relationship or WHILE that someone is in a relationship or WHILE you promised to stay single.... ARE YOU CHEATING?

When you meet the eyes of the person who was once your heart and soul, are you cheating?

Are you cheating when you WANT to go back to the years that gone?

What the HELL is CHEATING?

Love, now and always,
Mia

President Benigno S. Aquino III signed Proclamation No. 295 declaring the regular holidays, special (non-working) days, and special holidays (for all schools) for the year 2012.

The proclamation also has explanations for declaring Eid'l Fitr, Eidul Adha, EDSA Revolution, Chinese New Year and the day after All Saints Day as Philippine Holidays.

Proclamation No. 295 also has provisions for observance of Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha, the dates of which shall be determined based on the Islamic calendar. Once the dates are determined, new proclamations will be issued.

Upon searching the internet, we pinpoint the tentative dates will be August 19, 2012 (Sunday) for Eid'l Fitr and October 27, 2012 (Saturday) for Eidul Adha, both falling on weekends.

2012 Philippine Long Weekends

Google holiday Easter eggs bring snow, Hanukkah lights

from http://bit.ly/vSrFzB

With one week to go before Christmas, search giant Google is giving computer users a feel of the season by bringing virtual snow to their browsers.

Computer users who search in Google for “let it snow” – without the quotation marks – will see their screens with snow and frost.

A Google Easter egg one week before Christmas brings snow and frost to the browser when a user types 'let it snow.'
The cursor – or mouse – can then be used to trace messages or doodles, just like a finger against a frosted-over window.

However, those who do not feel the holiday cheer with the frosted screen can always click – or tap – on the “Defrost” button that takes the place of the “Search” button.

As expected, the search results for “let it snow” will display first YouTube videos of the Christmas song “Let It Snow.”

On the other hand, an article on tech site CNET said the special holiday Easter egg is powered by HTML5 technology.

“It might not quite have the wow factor of Google’s famous ‘barrel roll’ bonus, but it’s bound to make your friends and family feel a quick burst of holiday cheer, while also giving more ammunition to the Scrooges in your clan,” it said.

Meanwhile, typing "Hanukkah" on Google search will bring up a string of lights on Google's search results page.

Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple (the Second Temple) in Jerusalem.

It is observed for eight nights and days, starting on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar, which may occur at any time from late November to late December in the Gregorian calendar. — LBG, GMA News
