Brillante Mendoza Film Festival, Admission is Free


SM City San Lazaro will be having a film-festival this July 30 & 31, 2012 at Cinema 4 featuring the works of the renowned film director, Mr. Brillante Mendoza, the first ever internationally acclaimed Asian Film Director to win in the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.

Director Mendoza will be staging his four (4) multi-awarded films entitled: Kaleldo, Manoro, Foster Child and Lola, which won best film award at the 6th Dubai International Film Festival. (Please see synopses below).

Aside from the special screening, get a chance to meet Director Brillante Mendoza upclose and personal. After each film viewing, there will be an open forum where audience can ask questions to the Director himself.

Admission is free. Seating available until we reach capacity.

Lucas

At noon, na-realize ni Lucas, tapos na siya kay Bessie. At tapos na rin siya sa kanyang mga kuwento. Pag-uwi ng bahay ay buburahin niya ang file at wala nang makakabasa pa ng mga iyon. Dahil hindi mo puwedeng mahalin ang isang tao nang hindi mo minamahal ang hilaga, silangan, timog at kanluran ng kanyang mga paniniwala. Kapag nagmahal ka’y dapat mong tanggapin bawat letra ng kanyang birth certificate. Kasama na doon ang kanyang libag, utot at bad breath. Pero me limit. Pantay-pantay ang ibinibigay na karapatan sa lahat ng tao upang lumigaya, o masaktan, o magpakagago, pero kapag sumara na ang mga pinto, nawasak na ang mga puso, nawala ang kaluluwa at ang bilang ay umabot na sa zero, goodbye na.
