I Don't Know How to Pray

I prayed not of love, not of perfection.

Love fades in different directions.

Perfect? You are. But not to me.

You aren’t the poison I’ll remedy.

 

I prayed of like the air I breathe.

The one I need, the reason I live with

You are the fresh air of my everyday,

Without you one couldn’t even stay.

My reason of living is because of you

I prayed of you like a morning dew.

I love you and that’s not so new

But needing you is what’s so true.

I love you next to the God I knew 

More than the self that’s worth for you.

I need not of the love I’m giving.

I Need of the me can’t live without you.
