A Love Advice

Anyone who has gone through the agony of losing someone he/she loves so much will still wish against all odds to have that love back again.  But, sometimes a love lost is a love gone forever. No amount of hope can bring to life a relationship that just died a natural death. Set yourself free. Let your heart spread its wings and fly. Remember, it may rain for 40 days and 40 nights, but still will not rain forever. One day the pouring will stop and there will be plenty of branches where you can find rest.  One of these is where you will build your nest and start over again. It’s never too late. Remember, you may find love and lose it but "WHEN LOVE DIES, YOU NEVER HAVE TO DIE WITH IT".  Remember, we all fail and make wrong decisions but our blunders are meant not to bury us...

Beyond Habits

Old Habits Die Hard.

I should’ve started this post with a disclaimer asking you, the reader, to leave if you don’t want to look at habits after this post. But...

Habits. 

When I look at your way, smiled… and did it again the next day, is it a habit? When I think about you tonight and start to think about you every single night after… is it a habit?  When I do things over and over again, does it become a habit? Or does it become a part of who I am?

Experts says 95% of what we do are habits. The same routes, same food, same ways, same style, same colors… it's a life full of habits. Is it okay? Habits helps us do our every day routine naturally, normally. But when we do things out of habits, aren’t we giving up the control of our lives? We are… right? 

We no longer take things carefully and we associate all that things we habitually do are good. But some habits may turn out bad for the doer eventually. Not only that it becomes bad, same way it also cage us, limits us and makes us do what we always done and never let us learn and grow. 

Truly habits are very powerful… either it slaves you or gives you force. Start developing good habits from now on or changing bad habits to good ones! Physiologists widely accept that IT TAKES ABOUT 28 DAYS TO CHANGE A HABIT.

But remember, 28 days come and go, only can challenge yourself to make a change.

Of Ten Things

I don't have a favorite number. But if I should choose one I'll go for number 10. One, it's easy to remember and two the tenth letter in the alphabet is J--the first letter of my name.

Today is 10-10-10, The Tenth Day Of The Tenth Month Of The Tenth Year Of The Decade... I should have for this day... got married, bought a new car or a house, adopted a pet, spent the day with an orphanage or something. Kidding aside, I should've bought a plane ticket and spent the day with you...!



Ten Things to be Thankful:

1. I'm still alive
2. I'm living a peaceful life
3. I have a job [not the one that I really like thought but it still supports me]
4. I passed UP again [FYI, I passed 3 years ago but wasn't able to really enroll]
5. My mom's operation is successful [Thanks God!]
6. My brother is back in our family [The bitch is gone... Yes! I can say that it's my blog! RIGHT?!]
7. Marco, Julianne, Tito Pogs and Tita Irma visited us [and we'll be visiting them soon... hello USA]
8. My knee is not aching so much anymore [but I still have to visit the doctor for final check ups] 
9. I don't have any debts
10. I have a clear goal of what I want.

Twitter Charms

Founded Jack Dorsey and Evan Wiliams with Biz Stone, Twitter from 20,000 tweets per day last 2006, it grown to 60,000 in only a matter of year.  From the little bird, Twitter truly flown into a BIG BIG BIG bird with 65 million tweets posted every single day.

I love twitter. Who hates Twitter, BTW. Not a lot of people are following me though, but I still love it. Tweeting is like summarizing a whole novel into 140 characters, blogging in 140 letters way, writing in 140 strokes… short but real, short but sweet.

Last September, Twitter officials introduced a new re-engineered Twitter.com, that provides easier, faster and richer experience still fitting into 140 characters or less. There might be a lot of changes but one thing remains: you will get a lot in a little.

MEDIA

140 or less is short but supported with media it can create a revolution. The new Twitter.com offers an easier way to embed photos and videos. With their partnership with DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Vimeo, yfrog, and YouTube, photos and videos can now be posted directly in every tweet.

STREAMING

It used to be this way: When you scroll down the bottom, you need to click MORE to view additional Tweets. Now: Experience the infinite scroll. Scroll down the bottom of the page and it will bring up the older tweets endlessly, unless you reached the very first tweet.  

RELATED CONTENT

When you click a Tweet, the details pane shows additional information related to the author or subject. Depending on the Tweet’s content, you may see: replies, other Tweets by that user, a map of where a geotagged Tweet was sent from, and more.

PROFILE 

Click a username to see a mini profile without navigating from the page, which provides quick access to account information, including bio and recent Tweets.

The new Twitter is still on its beta/preview version. In the next several weeks, only a small percentage of lucky registered accounts will be able to try out the beta of the new twitter. Too bad, not all twitter users can try it out.

The Social Network

From Columbia Pictures: 
On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history... but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications. 

The Social Network is about the founding of the Internet social networking website, Facebook. The film was directed by David Fincher and features an ensemble cast—Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Max Minghella, Rooney Mara, and Armie Hammer. It is told Rashomon style, from three points of view.

The Movie opens with Mark Zuckerberg being dumped by the girl he's dating. Angry, drunk "and blogging", he hacks up a hot-or-not-style comparison site featuring pictures of almost every female student at Harvard. The site is quite literally an overnight sensation; and while almost every woman on campus now hates his guts, this whiff of success prompts him to try engineering his way into Harvard's sexed-up social elite. De- and reconstructing interpersonal relationships through technology becomes his new obsession. And from there, Facebook is born.

The Social Network is not a simple story. It's a movie about every other thing--from fiction to fact to technology to marketing Facebook to a story about youth, friend and betrayal. But definitely, it is about the Internet. 

Opening soon across the Philippines, The Social Network is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

Love is Immortal

ABS-CBN continues to excite television viewers with their latest primetime series, Imortal: Lobo 2. The new teleserye pairs up the most awaited stars of the network, John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin, both not seen in any series after I love Betty La Fea and Only You.

Imortal is the 2nd Saga to the 2008 award winning fantasy series, Lobo. The first Lobo starred Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual, who were both wolves but Lobo 2 includes vampires. In Immortal, Angel plays the daughter of her character in Lobo and John Lloyd plays the Vampire. 

Like the Twilight saga, Immortal will attempt to showcase how it is possible for vampires and werewolves to fight for the love against all odds touched with a twist of Filipino taste. 

Imortal is directed by Chito S. Roño, Jerry Lopez-Sineneng, and Trina N. Dayrit. Imortal also stars Maja Salvador, Gladys Reyes, Rico Blanco, Chin Chin Gutierrez, Precious Lara Quigaman, Lauren Young, and Francine Prieto among many others.

Immortal premieres on October 4, 2010 right after Noah.
