Mia came from my mothers’ name MarIA and Santos her last name, before she married my dad. Mia Santos is my pen name. It’s the name I want to use if I ever become popular someday.

Well, you cannot take my real name away from me. I will always be Jamie Meneses--papers, documents, record shows it. It can’t be changed. But I also want to give honor to my Mom and her name. I also want to be someone else once in awhile.
